Every year, on the second Friday in December,
groups of community-minded people all over the nation dress up as
Santas and Elves and ride around their town on a bus, stopping in
local bars and restaurants to entertain patrons with "not very good"
renditions of holiday songs.
The money they collect — usually over $10,000 — is donated to local charities of the participants' choice.
Santa Night was started in 1998 as a local fundraiser in Burlington, Vermont,
USA. After five successful years and the addition of many additional locations,
our mission is to become the biggest one-day international
holiday fundraising event for the less fortunate.
Hosting a Santa Night in your community is a fun and easy way to combine raising money for the less fortunate with increasing your organization's morale and profile.
